As we find ourselves graduating in a pivotal new decade, our senior identity makes reference to the new year of 2020 and its common abbreviation, “twenty-twenty,” with the roman numeral, XX. The letter ‘x’ is characterized by twenty-one descriptive verbs and typefaces selected by each student.

A graphic designer and proud New Orleanian. She also happens to have a degree in biology from Louisiana State University because her love for science runs high. Her practice ranges from bold graphics and quirky illustrations to layouts, painting and the occasional tattoo design. Aside from art, Melissa loves to travel, find all of the breweries and thrift stores, and she did attempt to make bread during quarantine.
RESUME PORTFOLIOBorn and raised in Midland, TX. He was constantly outside as a kid going camping, hiking and getting into trouble. Aaron found he had a passion for design when he started collecting baseball cards in middle school. Aaron went to the University of Houston to pursue that feeling.
RESUME PORTFOLIOBorn in New Orleans and has lived in Borneo, Canada and Houston for most of her life. She spends much of her time defending Houston despite loving Galveston a little more, and additional time cooking recipes that only take “half an hour.” She’s somehow managed to avoid certain death despite her affinity for abandoned buildings and the company of strangers while traveling and enjoys spending that spare life with her partner and two mischievous cats.

He served as a public affairs specialist with the U.S.Army before shifting to graphic design, where he combines his knowledge and experience in communication with his artistic skills to creative impactful work.

She enjoys the classic methods of graphic design and explores how they can be modernized and altered in nontraditional ways. When she is not designing, she finds herself still looking to create order by playing Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley.

Secondly she appreciates black and white bold geometric typography and the color red. Illustrating has taken a major role in her work, from creating a narrative to using thick and thin lines.

Kenia believes that graphic design pushes her to create designs that communicate and overcome language barriers.

As a child he drew concept robots, studied various magic tricks, and speed solved Rubik's cube. He enjoys playing Tetris in his free time. Currently, he is interested in exploring UI/UX, graphic design and macro photography.

As a Latinx woman, she wants to help pave the way for more representation in design and the visual arts. Currently, she is exploring alternative methods of film photography and attempting to finish reading all of her books.

She never thinks a design is ever finished, always ready to make a tweak here or a change there to make the design even greater.

Some of his favorite hobbies are riding bikes, photography, live music and attending art–related events. He is passionate about the act of creating, mixing mediums and finding inspiration in everyday life, letting that inform his design and art.
RESUME PORTFOLIOA born and raised Houston designer, who lives life following one motto “Keep Moving Forward.” She has a strong interest in animation and the process behind it and plans on pursuing an MFA in that field. Her ultimate goal is to work for an animated studio, inspiring people through fun characters and compelling story-telling. When she is not designing, you can find her buying unnecessary things and justifying it with “but it’s on sale.”
RESUME PORTFOLIOAn Asian American graphic designer born in Topeka, Kansas. Despite living in a fast–paced environment, she enjoys life in the slow lane and lives in the moment. In the process of doing so, she picks up inspiration for her work from everyday life–from the way the light reflects off of the window to the falling pattern of water droplets, finding pleasure and inspiration in anything.
